Welcome

Welcome to my mechanical engineering and design blog! I will be using this blog to describe my research into jobs and career paths in the mechanical engineering and design fields, as well as discuss new innovations used by industry engineers to create new designs and streamline the manufacturing process. Topics such as: computer-aided design software, computer-aided manufacturing software, 3D printing and scanning, and CNC machining processes will be my primary focus as these are the processes that are the subjects that engineers are working to innovate along with continuing their development in the field of manufacturing, design prototyping, and design testing. Additionally, this blog will contain updates and discussion of manual and automated machining projects with which I am currently involved, most of which are design projects used to solve problems at UC Davis’ Engineering Student Design Center that are manufactured manually and precisely to assist the design center in operating more efficiently.
